About Us

Makeovers and cosmetics can be expensive, making them inaccessible to many teenagers and adults. For young people, becoming familiar with makeup and skincare can be an important milestone, and not having access to these products can sometimes lead to feelings of isolation or insecurity among peers. Although beauty products are not considered necessities, they can play an important role in self-expression and self-esteem.

Beauty Birds aims to provide free makeovers, skincare, and basic manicures to students throughout Philadelphia, particularly those from low-income communities who may need makeup for school pictures, dances, or special events. We hope to create a welcoming space where individuals can enjoy beauty while feeling confident and cared for. In the future, we plan to expand our services to homeless shelters and safe houses.

Alongside serving our community, Beauty Birds will help club members develop valuable beauty and client-facing skills. Members will receive basic training in cosmetic sanitation, makeup techniques, manicure techniques, and client interaction. Through these experiences, we hope to encourage our members to give back to the Philadelphia community while building beauty, communication, and professional skills that they can carry into their future careers.

OUR PURPOSE

At Beauty Birds, we believe everyone deserves the choice to be pampered. We create beauty experiences that uplift the spirit, encourage self-care, and celebrate beauty as a form of self-expression. Our products are tools for empowerment, but the true value lies in how we make our clients feel. Products expire, but confidence, feelings, and memories last.
